Scott Dickerson’s unique Alaskan winter surfing photography has made its way into the latest Patagonia Heart of Winter 2009 mail order catalog. The double page spread photo on pages 14-15 in the catalog has a caption that reads: Alaskan surf only gets good in the winter when Father Cold and Uncle Darkness reign. Fortunately that’s also cabin-fever season, which is why Gart Curtis is running down a snow-covered beach in the near-darkness of a midwinter day for a chance at a few cold, stormy waes.
